Welcome to Joyner Elementary School! Nestled in a residentialcommunity and located next to Rob Leake City Park, our newly renovated fifty-twoyear old school has been the formal education of many of Tupelo'spresent community leaders, making it a landmark of academic tradition.  Asa Title I School in influential Tupelo, we seek to provide endless studentopportunities to support our mission of developing a strong foundation oflearning for all students. Academic growth is enhanced through providing a safeenvironment, recognizing individual differences, emphasizing innovativethinking and creating academic expectations. Through a shared vision byteachers, parents and community, Joyner Elementary School strives forexcellence in education.

Joyner Elementary School houses a staff of creative,innovative individuals serving students in kindergarten, first and secondgrades! From students snuggled cozily on beanbags reading books, to those usingmath skills to create yummy surprises in the Kids' Kitchen, to climbing therock wall in the gym.  Joyner students are actively involved in learning.The Discovery Garden, with support from our Staff and those of the localFoodCorp representatives, provide first-hand outdoor gardening experiences andstrategies for developing healthy life choices. All first and second gradestudents are also invited to participate in the Little Ripples swim program inpartnership with Tupelo Park and Recreation and the City of Tupelo. 
As a member of the Mississippi Arts CommissionWhole Schools, we are proud to expose our students a variety of instructionalstrategies that will conitnue to engage students and impact instruction. All Joyner classrooms have 21st Century digital tools such as interactivewhite boards, student computer access, and iPads to encourage and developdigital learning environments.  Our Related Arts Specialists partner withour classroom teachers to develop quality grade level plays, monthlyJoynerville Junction (JJ) Celebrations, and an annual Fairy Tale Ball event.
